Classified Employee of the Month
Paul Roesch, a Production Specialist with Printing and Production Services, was nominated by Manager Biill Hammond for his contributions to the Sacramento County Office of Education. Mr. Roesch's primary responsibilities are to assist SCOE staff in the development of print projects, to facilitate and support print production schedules, and to provide special assistance for grant-funded projects operated by SCOE. One such grant project has been the Packard Reading Lions Center, which has required an extensive amount of production planning, print staff support and work flow organization by Mr. Roesch. The largest mass staff training (of 12,000 teachers) in Los Angeles Unified School District history is currently being conducted by Reading Lions staff. Mr. Roesch's support in preparing the print materials has made this extensive training possible. According to his supervisor, Mr. Roesch's efforts in this project "have been outstanding and are indicative of his high motivation and continuing desire to 'get things right.'" Mr. Roesch demonstrates "attention to detail, consideration for others' tight work schedules, and communication skills – all of which are of tremendous value when working with staff and vendors." In addition to his exemplary work in Printing and Production Services, Mr. Roesch has served several years in a leadership capacity with SCOE's classified employee organization (CSEA) and was recently re-elected President. Each summer he coordinates SCOE's canned food drive to benefit the Sacramento Food Bank. He also serves as a valued member of SCOE's Employee Recognition Day Planning Team. Mr. Roesch has been employed by the Sacramento County Office of Education since September, 1994.
