The Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) is one of 58 county offices located throughout the state. Approximately 650 regular and more than 950 temporary and substitute SCOE staff work year-round providing services that complement and supplement those offered by public school districts in Sacramento County.
Classified Employees of the Month Team
Veronica Jones and Diane Kaufman, Para-educators / Galt High School have been nominated by Principal Siohban Dill for their contributions to the overall success of the program serving students with moderate to severe disabilities operated by SCOE. Both work as part of a team assisting SCOE’s most vulnerable and medically fragile students by performing a wide range of critical tasks such as assisting students with individualized health care requirements, providing hygiene assistance, preparing materials for lessons, and conducting one-on-one or small group instruction in academic areas under the direction of the teacher. They bring valuable experience to the classroom environment. Ms. Jones has been a SCOE employee since 1988. Ms. Kaufman has been a SCOE employee since 1998.
Certificated Employee of the Month
Rebecca Frank, SCOE Nurse, has been nominated by Principal Siohban Dill for her contribution to the overall success of various programs by providing nursing support for students with moderate to severe disabilities. She assesses and evaluates health, nutritional and developmental status of the students and maintains cooperative working relationships with families. Through her efforts, SCOE classrooms are able to serve students who have complex health issues. She is committed to making a difference in the lives of her students and their families. Ms. Frank has been a SCOE employee since 2004.
