The Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) is one of 58 county offices located throughout the state. Approximately 650 regular and more than 950 temporary and substitute SCOE staff work year-round providing services that complement and supplement those offered by public school districts in Sacramento County.
Classified Employee of the Month
Jessica Brandt, Para-Educator SH / George Washington Carver Young Adult Program, was nominated by Principal Carmen Walker for her contributions in SCOE’s Special Day Class program. Jessica clearly understands her role as an advocate for students and is always striving to engage them and look out for their best interests. She supports the classroom team in meeting program goals while maintaining a level of professionalism and dedication. Ms. Brandt has developed a strong working relationship with all of her colleagues and can be trusted to follow through with all instructions and directions from the classroom teacher. Ms. Brandt has been a SCOE employee since 2014.
Certificated Employee of the Month
Guy Holman, SH Teacher, Special Education, George Washington Carver Young Adult Program, was nominated by Principal Carmen Walker for his contributions in SCOE’s Special Day Class program. He teaches and effectively implements the Unique Curriculum for special education students that is aligned to the core curriculum standards. Mr. Holman collaborates with many entities to ensure the success of his students all while establishing great relationships with families. He invites parents into the classroom for many activities and encourages their participation in school-wide activities. Mr. Holman has been employed by the Sacramento County Office of Education since 2003.
