The Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) is one of 58 county offices located throughout the state. Approximately 650 regular and more than 950 temporary and substitute SCOE staff work year-round providing services that complement and supplement those offered by public school districts in Sacramento County.
Classified Employee of the Month Team
Bill Adams (Custodian), Brian Alves (Senior General Services Worker), Mike Alves(Senior General Services Worker), Jason Bartley (Lead Maintenance Worker), Scott Burton (Senior General Services Worker), Sandy Foley (Custodian), Ryan Krell(Maintenance Worker), Lindon Lewis (Senior General Services Worker), and Josh Spencer (Senior General Services Worker) were nominated as a team by Director Chris Gilbert with the full support of the Superintendent’s Cabinet for their outstanding efforts towards completing the first three phases of the DPMEC Reconfiguration Project. The success of this project depended on the teamwork of these nine members of the Support Services Department.
Certificated Employee of the Month
Linda Glines, Nurse, Special Education, was nominated by Principal Erik Crawford for her contributions to SCOE’s programs throughout the northernmost parts of the county. She provides health care services for nearly 100 students at Dry Creek Elementary, Rio Linda High School, Rio Linda Preparatory Academy, Wilson C. Riles Middle School, and North Area Community School. Ms. Glines works with General Education, Mild/Moderate, and Moderate/Severe students. She facilitates communication between school staff, parents, and medical providers to ensure our students are in safe and healthy environments. Ms. Glines is a compassionate person whose dedication to her field and the tenacity she displays to access the highest level of care for our students are examples of the best in human behavior we can display. Ms. Glines has been employed by the Sacramento County Office of Education since 1997.
