The Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) is one of 58 county offices located throughout the state. Approximately 650 regular and more than 950 temporary and substitute SCOE staff work year-round providing services that complement and supplement those offered by public school districts in Sacramento County. The Sacramento County Board of Education celebrates the accomplishments and exemplary service of SCOE employees through the Employees of the Month Program.
Classified Employee of the Month
Alexander (Alex) Ayuli, Paraeducator with the Special Education team, was nominated by Principal Lauren Roth. Ayuli’s efforts to foster a positive learning environment are commendable. He actively participates in Literacy meetings and plays a key role in the implementation of the Literacy for Life grant from the California Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom. The establishment of a Food Club on Fridays is a key part of the grant that focuses on increasing literacy and is a creative and engaging way to enhance students' learning experiences. This initiative promotes literacy skills and integrates practical, hands-on activities related to horticulture and agriculture, aligning with the goals of the California Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom. Ayuli’s enthusiasm for student success and his involvement in both local and broader educational initiatives showcase his passion for education and community engagement. Alex Ayuli has been a SCOE employee since 2014.
Certificated Employee of the Month
Nicole Peyret, Program Specialist with Community Schools, was nominated by Court and Community Schools Principal Craig Bradford. Peyret is new to her role as Program Specialist for Community Schools and was previously a teacher in SCOE's Senior Extension program. She has been outstanding in both roles. As a Program Specialist, she has been integral in communicating with districts, helped refine our enrollment process for students with IEPs, and communicated those standards with our local school districts. Peyret approaches her job with a student-first attitude and genuinely believes that all our students can achieve at high levels. Nicole is an asset to our Community Schools, a supporter of our students, and a great support for the staff. Nicole Peyret has been a SCOE employee since 2014.
