The Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) is one of 58 county offices located throughout the state. Approximately 650 regular and more than 950 temporary and substitute SCOE staff work year-round providing services that complement and supplement those offered by public school districts in Sacramento County. The Sacramento County Board of Education celebrates the accomplishments and exemplary service of SCOE employees through the Employees of the Month Program.
Classified Employee of the Month
Suzanne Shehadeh, Paraeducator with Special Education, was nominated by Area Principal Randy Olson. Suzanne is a long time Paraeducator for SCOE (Sacramento County Office of Education) and currently supports our full in inclusion preschool program. Suzanne is an excellent role model for her new colleagues. Her support and feedback assist in the development of the skills of her team. Suzanne leads by example and works diligently to ensure her students are meaningfully engaged in all activities throughout the school day. Not only does Suzanne perform her duties in the classroom, she also supports the essential home-to-school connection by being an interpreter for our Arabic-speaking families. Suzanne Shehadeh has been a SCOE employee since 1999.
Certificated Employee of the Month
Lyndsey Bustos, Speech Therapist with the Infant Development Program within Special Education, was nominated by Area Principal Randy Olson. Lyndsey consistently goes above and beyond to support her team. Lyndsey works in conjunction with her team to provide speech therapy for infants and toddlers. Lyndsey often offers to provide additional support for assessments to qualify children for the program and takes on additional children to her caseload, when needed. She is as flexible as possible to accommodate the needs of her teams and families. Lyndsey Bustos has been a SCOE employee since 2015.
