Student Assessment Support
The Center for Student Assessment and Program Accountability (CSAPA) department plays a role in administering required statewide assessments to students enrolled in Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) schools and programs. The department convenes a monthly meeting to support assessment coordinators in schools and districts within the Sacramento region.
Capital Regional Assessment Network
The Capital Regional Assessment Network (CRAN) is comprised of assessment and accountability professionals working in county offices of education, school districts, and charter schools who meet monthly to learn, share, and network.
Meeting content includes updates on California’s assessment and accountability programs, guests from the California Department of Education, shared resources developed by CRAN members, and development of new ideas for displaying and sharing data through our Data Visualization segment.

General Assessment Support
We are directly involved in the administration of assessment and testing programs for schools and students. Our office administers the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP), English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC), Physical Fitness Test (PFT), and HiSET equivalency assessments and conducts analyses of the California Dashboard data. This puts us in a unique position to provide support to schools and districts based on actual experience and not theory alone.
