The Culinary Café is a “school-to-world” partnership between educational programs within the Special Education Department at the Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE). It serves students from throughout the county, offering the opportunity to learn skills necessary for success in the food services profession. SCOE students join the region’s “farm-to-fork” movement as a component of the Sustainable Environments Learning Academy, which builds career skills and promotes food literacy. Produce grown by students in the school’s Urban Oasis Project is included in many of the dishes served.

The Culinary Café serves lunch on specific days during the traditional school year (typically on alternating Thursdays from 12–1 p.m. from November through May). The Café is located on the Leo A. Palmiter Junior/Senior High School campus: 2040 Ethan Way, Sacramento, CA 95825.
