Inclusive Practices

  • California MAP to Inclusion & Belonging—The mission of the MAP to Inclusion & Belonging is to create a statewide system of support, training, and resources that gives all families and providers barrier-free access to inclusive child care.

The Power of Play

  • Early Learning Play—When your children play with you, they are also learning—learning that they are loved and important, and that they are fun to be around. These social-emotional skills give them the self-esteem and self-confidence they need to continue building loving and supportive relationships all their lives.
  • Building Babies Brains Through Play (Mini Parenting Class from Harvard University)—The most important interactions you have with a child can happen through play. By engaging in playful “serve and return” with a child, you can literally help build stronger connections in the brain. Strong neural connections are the foundation for a child’s future learning, behavior, and health.
