The Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) held its annual winter graduation ceremony on December 11, 2001, in the SCOE Oak Room. Six students, representing four SCOE campus sites from throughout the community, received certificates marking their achievements.

A crowd of 200 friends, family members, SCOE teachers and staff, and fellow students cheered each of the graduates as they received recognition. SCOE Special Services Director Gary Scott Johnson introduced each student, and Deputy Superintendent Peter J. Lee and Assistant Superintendent Robin M. Pierson presented awards. County Superintendent of Schools Dr. David P. Meaney joined the celebration, along with Special Services Principals Edie Martin, Jerri Scott, Pam Nolan, and Sharon Holstege.

The SCOE Special Services Department serves more than 1,000 students annually, ranging in age from infancy to age 22.
