Middle and high school principals and leadership teams are invited to take part in a live, interactive cyber conference featuring nationally recognized author and trainer, Dr. Richard DuFour.
The title of the cyber conference is Secondary Professional Learning Communities (PLC): Build the Culture of Collaboration with a Purpose! It is scheduled for Wednesday, March 1, 2006 from 8:30-4:30. There is no charge for the event.
Areas of Focus
- Student learning needs to guide classroom instruction.
- Grade level and department collaboration needs to replace isolated instruction.
- Education needs to become results oriented, not data rich and information poor.
Dr. DuFour's morning presentation will be followed by facilitated discussion in the afternoon.
The registration deadline is February 23, 2006. (CDE).
In Region 3 this event is offered at the Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE), as well as the Colusa County Office of Education and the Placer County Office of Education.
