Additional Sacramento County Board of Education meetings have been scheduled for the Measure B Unified School District, the name temporarily being used to identify the newly formed, unified school district serving north Sacramento County.

On November 7, 2007, voters passed Measure B, a special referendum creating a new school district by combining the Rio Linda, North Sacramento, Grant Joint Union High School, and Del Paso Heights Districts into a single unified school district serving students preschool through 12th grade.

The first meeting of the Measure B Unified School District Board of Education was held on Tuesday, November 27, 2007.

The four districts which were consolidated will continue to operate until July 1, 2008. The new district, which becomes effective July 2008, will cover 120 square miles in north Sacramento County and serve close to 30,000 students.
