5th Annual Art Show Features Work of SCOE Employees

Show Held in Conjunction with Regional “ARTober” Celebration

The Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) is featuring the artistic talent of its employees during the month of October.

The 5th Annual Employee Art Show, themed "Celebrating the Past, Awakening the Future," features the artwork of staff from 11 SCOE campuses and sites throughout the county. Nearly 100 guests attended an October 2 reception to kick off the exhibit, enjoying refreshments and meeting many of the 18 artists featured in this year's show.

Among the 46 pieces of art on display are paintings, photographs, illustrations, poetry, textiles, and sculptures. The art show is being held in conjunction with ARTober, a regional celebration of the arts.

The non-juried show is open to the public weekdays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the David P. Meaney Education Center, 10474 Mather Boulevard (near Mather Field) through October 31. Free parking is available.
