Artistic Talents of SCOE Employees on Display Through November

Fifty-Nine Pieces of Art on Display

Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) employees celebrated their artistic talents at an art show and reception on October 15, 2013. The 6th annual event, held at the SCOE Administration building, featured multi-dimensional art created around the theme "A Spark of Art."

The 23 artists represented 15 SCOE departments at six sites. Fifty-nine pieces of art were on display include paintings, ceramics, photography, and illustration.

Artwork is on display weekdays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the David P. Meaney Education Center through November 2013.

The employee art show was organized by the SCOE Communications Office staff. The event is part of "ARTober", a month-long celebration of the arts in Sacramento that shines a spotlight on the talent and creativity of artists throughout the region.

As part of National Art & Humanities Month, the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission, the Sacramento Convention and Visitors Bureau, Sacramento365.com, For Arts Sake, and dozens of local arts organizations collaborate to bring attention to more than 150 art events taking place in the Sacramento region during the month of October.
