In an effort to promote wellness and health awareness, the Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) hosted a Health and Wellness Fair for employees at the David P. Meaney Education Center on March 25. This year's theme: "Get Fit—One Piece at a Time."
The health fair was organized to teach employees how to improve health in all aspects of their lives, showing some of the many resources available to assist in living a healthy lifestyle. Information was available on nutrition, cancer screening and prevention, blood and organ donation, exercise, dental health, mental health and a lot more. Participants also received information about eating healthy, routine exercise, managing stress, safety, and annual wellness exams.
