In an effort to promote wellness and health awareness, the Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) today hosted a Health and Wellness Fair for employees at the David P. Meaney Education Center. This year's theme: "Home Run to Health."
The baseball-themed health fair was organized to encourage employees to improve health in all aspects of their lives, showcasing resources available to assist employees in achieving a healthier lifestyle.
Learning opportunities were available with information about nutrition, cancer screening and prevention, blood and organ donation, exercise, dental health, mental health and a lot more.
Participants also received information about eating healthy, routine exercise, managing stress, safety and annual wellness exams.
