Do you or a student you know need money for college? How about help filling out all those financial aid forms and scholarship applications? If so, consider attending one of the free Cash for College workshops being held in the Sacramento region through January 2017. Trained volunteers will be on-hand to help students and their families file for state and federal financial aid.

- November 15, 2016: Rio Linda High School, 6–8 p.m.
- November 16, 2016: Natomas High School, 6–8 p.m.
- November 17, 2016: Lincoln High School, 6–8 p.m.
- November 17, 2016: Cristo Rey High School, 6–8 p.m.
- November 29, 2016: McClatchy High School, 6–8 p.m.
- November 30, 2016: Encina High School, 6–8 p.m.
Winter 2017
- January 11, 2017: Foothill High School, 6–8 p.m.
- January 19, 2017: River City High School, 6–8 p.m.
- January 26, 2017: Calvine High School, 6–8 p.m.
- January 28, 2017: Woodland Community College, 9 a.m.–12 noon
The workshops for Sacramento County students are sponsored by the California Student Aid Commission. The Sacramento Cal-SOAP Consortium (California Student Opportunity Access Program) at the Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) is the local coordinator and directly serves students in 55 elementary, middle, and high schools throughout Sacramento County.
