The Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) today hosted the Capital Adult Education Regional Consortium's (CAERC) 2016 Regional Summit. The event theme was "Supporting Student Success in Life," and are launching the 2016–17 school year with a renewed commitment to building and fostering effective partnerships that support CAERC's regional priorities:
- Build and expand adult education offerings
- Develop alignment and pathways
- Increase student support services
- Enhance data and accountability systems
CAERC was recently funded to accelerate the development of programs and classes for adult learners. The consortium is comprised of 14 members from within the Los Rios Community College District geographical boundaries. Members include large and small school districts, county offices of education, and representatives from the four Los Rios colleges. Partners include adult education stakeholders from throughout the region.
