Nicolas (Nick) Schweizer has been selected as the new Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) Associate Superintendent of Business Services.
Schweizer comes to SCOE from the California Online Community College District, where he served as the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer. Prior to that role, Schweizer served as the Deputy Superintendent of Public Instruction with the California Department of Education. He also worked as Program Manager for the California Department of Finance.
“We are delighted to welcome Nick to our County Office team. He brings a wealth of financial experience with him to SCOE,” said County Superintendent of Schools David W. Gordon. “I look forward to working with him to continue delivering top-quality guidance and services to the students, families, and staff of Sacramento County’s local school districts.”
The new fiscal chief earned a bachelor’s degree from the Virginia Military Institute in Economics and Business and a master’s degree in Public Policy from the University of Southern California.
Schweizer replaces Tamara Sanchez, who served SCOE for more than 25 years.
