During an online ceremony today, ten Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) students were recognized for their successes in a program for young adults participating in SCOE’s special education programs.
These young adults represent SCOE programs serving students with moderate to severe disabilities throughout Sacramento County, including classes at Galt High School (Galt Joint Union High School District), Jessie Baker Young Adult Program and Monterey Trail High School (Elk Grove Unified School District), Natomas High School (Natomas Unified School District), and the CSUS Young Adult Program.
The students who were honored have participated in SCOE special education programs throughout their educational years, many starting in SCOE’s Infant Development Program and continuing through young adulthood.
SCOE’s Special Education Department provides special education-related services to the 13 school districts within Sacramento County for students from birth through 22 years of age.
