The Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE), project lead on the California Dyslexia Initiative, is partnering with Glean Education to host a year of free, online presentations designed to help educators support students struggling to learn how to read.
The presentations are facilitated by some of the nation’s top experts to help teachers recognize risk factors in children, and support students who have reading difficulties and dyslexia. Educators will learn to identify risk factors, set up systems to prevent reading difficulties, and deliver effective instruction that supports struggling learners and students with dyslexia.
This is the second year the educational series is being offered. Last year’s webinars are archived online and recordings of the 2022–23 presentations will also be made available approximately one week after each webinar takes place.
SCOE is the grant lead for the California Dyslexia Initiative, which is a three-year, grant-funded project developing specialized training and creating statewide professional learning networks.
